Bio

Sarah’s love of theatre hit her at a very young age, having been brought up in a very theatrical household. She started singing after seeing the movie ‘Annie’, and her path was very clearly laid out for her. She Graduated from arts high school, Canterbury High School in Ottawa, Canada, with her diploma in Vocal Performance, and quickly followed it up by graduating with her diploma in Musical Theatre Performance from Sheridan College in Toronto, Canada. Sarah started her career aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as an onboard Lead Singer. She then spent a few years down south, singing with a jazz trio in Atlanta, Georgia, and finally trying on the Big Apple for size, workshopping new musicals, mounting various solo cabarets and continuing to hone her art. Since returning to Canada, she has had the joy of continuing aboard the cabaret train, performing with her singing partner Katie Beetham, founding 2Divine. Favourite roles include Belle Mae Steinberg Carroca in My Favourite Year, Mo in The Lady and The Ladle, and Carrie Okie in Karaoke: the Musical. Of late, she has workshopped various new Canadian musicals such as Cannibal: The Musical, written by the same folks that brought us Evil Dead: The Musical, Leslie Arden’s One Step Forward, and Tweed: The Musical.
